- Install Mavericks On Unsupported Mac Mini
- Create Mavericks Bootable Usb
- Install Mavericks On Unsupported Macbook
- Os X Mavericks Installer
Tricksy, but possible — and as noted above, totally unsupported by Apple. I use it on a Mac Pro 2,1 with an upgraded Radeon HD 5870. Mavericks has some good features, and some bugginess. I use it for icloud compatability with an iPhone and a macbook Air. When the operation completes, boot your target unsupported Mac off the USB drive you just created by holding down the Option key while turning on the machine, and selecting the drive. Note: Only perform steps 5 and 6 if you intend to do a clean install.
- My suspicion is that the new installer will use it’s own boot.efi / PlatformSupport.plist file(s) preventing you to upgrade using the App Store. My reasoning is that I tried to download the Mavericks Install file from the App Store on the Mac Pro and the App Store prevented the download from happening since the Mac Pro is unsupported.
- Hackintosh Mavericks Installer supports AMD: Normally, computers that use AMD processors are unsupported by Mac OS X. However, Hackintosh Mavericks Installer includes experimental “patched” kernels that may allow Mac OS X to work with these processors regardless.
- Fixes adfly URL issues- Improves some error messages (makes them more explicit)
- Fixes some minor UI issues/glitches
- Fixes log files not appearing!
- Add some verbosity to the install process (for logs)

Question :
I read somewhere that it is possible to install the latest version of OSX 10.10 Yosemite on my Mac, even though the official installer refuses to install.
Can you give me any directions ?
Install Mavericks On Unsupported Mac Mini
Answer :
Installing newer versions of OSX on slightly older Macs that do not meet the official system requirements can be done using MacPostFactor (MCPF).
MacPostFactor also supports installing OSX versions up to OSX 10.10 Yosemite on older Macs. And a new version that supports installing OSX 10.11 El_Capitan is in the works.
